because和so能连用吗

不能将because与so连用。因为because是从属连词引导原因状语从句，其结构是“主句+because从句”或“because从句+主句”，而so是并列连词连接并列句，其结构是“第一个分句+so连接的第二个分句”。如果连用就出现了混搭结构，是不成立的。同理，although和but不能连用。

连词的类别与功能（连词分为并列连词和从属连词）。

1.并列连词连接词、或词组，例如：

（1）John and Mary went.

（2）He likes swimming in the summer but skating in the winter.

2.并列连词连接分句，例如：

（1）The man bought a new car,but his wife didn’t know about it.

（2）He bought the gas,and his son paid for the repairs.

3.从属连词不能连接词和词组，只能引导分句。

（1）Unless it rains,we’ll play tennis at 4.

（2）I was cooking when he knocked at the door.

（3）The little boy was crying because he was lost.
